25th wedding anniversary blues
Sue and I are about to celebrate a quarter century of connubial bliss and I'm looking for some inexpensive ways to celebrate. There ain't gonna be a long weekend in Paris or a romantic cruise to someplace where the warm zephyrs blow, because we've got two kids in college and two more at home.
I want some way to let the love of my life know what the last 25 years have meant to me, without losing my shirt.
(Although, I'm more than happy to lose my shirt and any other articles of clothing if she wants to show her appreciation for the gift.)
Any suggestions?

For our 25th, we drove to Maine. Of course, gas prices weren't quite so high then. At that time, we had one daughter in graduate school, one undergrad, and one who was about to become a freshman in college.
We stayed at a small place with good food. It would have been very calm and peaceful if I wasn't worrying about the kids. I kept calling them to be sure everything was okay at home. Hubby complained that we really weren't alone on the trip.
Still, he presented me with a nice gold necklace. And I really enjoyed seeing different scenery. I took lots of photos.
How about that strip club you seem to regularly drive by every day/night..esp. if it's ladies nite, your wife can get some free drinks!
First let her read your request for help. This is really nice. The fact that you want something special is special itself. Some flowers nice dinner. Maybe a weekend get away. What ever you decide this sounds like she already has the best.
Hey Mike and Sue--
Yeah--come to Maine!!
