Come back, Arthur Branch: All is forgiven

So it turns out that the U.S. State Department has given immunity to the whole Blackwater crew responsible for various and sundry acts of mayhem and carnage in Iraq. Which makes it hard to actually punish anybody for the crimes.
Hasn't Condoleeza Rice ever watched "Law & Order?" Cripes, it's only on TV every blessed hour of the day on basic cable! You give one skel immunity so he'll testify against the other miscreants. You don't give them all immunity, otherwise Sam Waterston hasn't got anything to do for the second half hour.
Iraq makes even smart Americans stupid.

I guess it's a bunch of contract killers just blowing things up with full immunity but the lowered standard of not being u.s. military. great. so real life is more like a bunch of knuckleheads on g.i. joe than law and order

Hey anonymous, how do you know that what Blackwater has done hasn't actually caused the deaths of more American soldiers? Since when did the insurgents ever roll over and ignore an excuse for revenge killings?

I didn't say I knew, did I? I simply asked a question and got no answer.

Let's examine this while you ponder an answer. Given that we already know that those folks are bent on revenge (we've seen it before, right?) and that the Blackwater people have killed innocent civilians, doesn't it seem likely to you that they would seek revenge as a matter of course? And who are the people most representative of the U.S. in Iraq and who go around conspicuously in U.S. garb and wearing U.S. flags? So tell me why you think they haven't gone after our soldiers for revenge after what Blackwater has done.

God bless the mercenaries, indeed. God bless the killers of innocent people. Remember what I once said about how the word of God can be made to mean anything you want? Now we even see someone calling for murderers to be blessed!
